calluna- heather

I walked along the river bank near my home this morning. The sun was shining and the air was fresh and sweet. I was enjoying this wonderful sunny weather and the delicious fragrance from the heather, floating on the breeze. This gave me the inspiration to write this haiku in celebration of calluna.

sheep track

The crofters graze their sheep on the “common grazing ground”, through the old cattle gate. There is a track made by the sheep, as they weave through the heather.

Summer day bliss!
