Celebrating friendships – past, present and future
Donald was our neighbour and friend for over 10 years.
Donald’s House
The luminous walls glowed in the moonlight,
Gable window flickered, with orange delight.
Smoke plumes rose from the chimney stack,
Charred wood aroma, called us back.
Memories of relaxing in front of the fire,
Little more pleasure, did we desire.
Watching the flames’ spiralling dance,
Glowing faces in a spellbound trance.
Savouring a dram with joyful craic,
These times, sadly
will not come back.

There is an abundance of hidden places full of native trees, wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy, in peace and tranquility. This sensational Island changes constantly through the seasons, with wild Atlantic storms, snowy mountains and balmy Summer nights with spectacular skies. The Summer wildflowers provide a colourful feast for insects, which feed the many species of songbirds, both native and Summer visitors.
