I love to walk through the woods early in the morning before anyone else is around. The sounds and scents are amazing. Spring is a very special time of year. Here is an excerpt of one of my poems “A Walk in the Woods”

A Walk in the Woods

Down the long lane, beneath the blue sky,

I step into the wood with the canopy high.

The track is adorned with flowery dells,

With wonderful scents from sapphire bells.

Through dappled shade the ferns grow bright,

Cheering the gloom with emerald light.

I hear the birds sing on branches high,

As their shapes silhouette against the sky.

The woods are delightful, at this time of year,

With Springtime sounds and scents in the air…
