“There is nothing more wonderful than, drawing the curtains at the close of the day and lighting the fire. Relaxing in your favourite chair and watching the burning logs, smoulder and crackle”
There’s a pleasing warmth, inside the soul,
While watching the flames flicker and glow.
The bursting embers crackle and flare,
As purple flames suddenly appear.
Imagined faces and shapes to see,
On the burning logs, from the fallen tree.
This focal point with aesthetic lure,
Holds our gaze on this sight, so pure.
The heat embraces our entire form,
Releasing tensions like, ebbing storms.
At the end of the eve we sadly retire,
Leaving this wonderful, friendly fire.
“Time to chill”
